Anthony Owusu Ansah is a Lecturer in Finance and Real Estate at the Business School of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Anthony teaches Advanced Corporate Finance, Corporate Finance and Managerial Finance at the MBA level as well as Financial Management at the Undergraduate level.
Anthony holds PhD in Real Estate from the University of Aberdeen, MSc degree in Real Estate Management from KTH, The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm-Sweden, and a BSc (First Class) in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. He has won a lot of awards and honors such as the prestigious College of Arts and Social Science PhD funding award by the University of Aberdeen, The STINT Scholarship for Academic Excellence by the STINT Foundation in Sweden, the Professor Ebenezer Acquaye’s Award for Academic Excellence by the Ghana Institution of Surveyors. He is an associate fellow of the British Higher Education Academy. His paper presented at the European Real Estate Society Conference in Edinburgh in June 2012 won the Doctoral Prize Award as a Highly Commended Paper. He is an Associate of the British Higher Education Academy, a member of the American, European and African Real Estate Societies, as well as a member of the Society for Property Researchers.
Anthony has a number of papers which have been published in top journals such as Property Management, the Journal of International Real Estate and Construction Studies, Current Politics and Economics of Europe etc. He also has papers which are currently under review in top journals like Urban Studies, Housing Studies, etc. His research interests include Corporate Capital Structure, Hedonic Modeling of House Prices, House Price Index Construction, the role of real estate in portfolio management, Examination of mortgage markets, efficiency of financial markets etc.
